Dog Facilities

Our dog-friendly park is a fantastic base for a holiday with your dog on the North Yorkshire coast. We are ideally placed for accessing the nearby beaches and dog walks, such as Saltwick Bay and the Cleveland Way Coast Path. Saltwick Bay can be accessed by walking down a gently descending, naturally stepped pathway, which is lined with wildflowers during spring and summer. Dogs are welcome to have a good run along the clean sands or paddle in the surf.

The Cleveland Way Coast Path

The Cleveland Way Coast Path offers a wide selection of walks, such as the hugely popular from Whitby town centre, which leads you back up to the north side of our park.  This path is perfect for dog walkers as it lets guests soak up the serenity of the coastline and charming nearby villages. Inland, you'll find an abundance of footpaths awaiting you and your furry friend, many of which lead through woodlands, alongside rivers, and past picturesque waterfalls, offering endless opportunities for fantastic holiday photos!

On-Park Dog Facilities

On-site, Whitby Holiday Park has a useful dog shower to keep all pooches sand and mud free. Dogs are welcome throughout the park and its facilities, such as the reception area and the Jet Bar and Bistro, which is a hugely popular spot amongst dog walkers after a long walk along the coast.

There are dog waste bins around the park and many large, grassy areas for exercising between walks. Additionally, all of our accommodation options at Whitby Holiday Park are dog-friendly unless stated otherwise. This includes our holiday caravans and touring and motorhome pitches.

Dog grocery items are also available at the on-park shop and the reception staff, who are all dog lovers, will be happy to talk with you about the best local walks for you to enjoy with your pet.
